40% of the UK’s Best Local Government Workplaces Use Limehouse
Results of Times Survey Show Councils Using Limehouse Software Rate Among the Country’s Best Places to Work.
The results of a survey by The Times into the best local councils to work for in the UK has revealed that eight of those listed in the top 20 are current users of Limehouse Software.
The survey is the result of a poll of employee opinion conducted by research agency Best Companies Limited on behalf of The Times Newspaper. Sponsored by the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and Local Government Employers, councils were invited to have their working practices scrutinised through a series of questions designed to reveal what employees really think of their place of work, colleagues, managers, chief executive, pay and benefits.
Limehouse Software is a leading supplier of collaboration and publishing solutions for local, regional and central government bodies across the UK. Its proprietary applications, ucreate and uengage, are enabling organisations to reduce the costs involved in conducting consultations, producing complex documents and publishing reports by up to 40%.
Recent activities by IDeA have shown a direct correlation between feelings of happiness and engagement with the local community.
Limehouse Software CEO, Giles Welch, is not surprised by the findings: “There is an obvious link between the progressive philosophies of these exemplary councils and the pride that many of their employees take from working there. These progressive organisations have recognised the benefits of using Limehouse to help them to engage with their citizens and communicate effectively with them through the consultation facilities we offer. It is no surprise that these councils are leading the way in both employee satisfaction and embracing this powerful new technology.”
