Cardiff Council & The Local Development Plan

Cardiff Council is the first local authority in Wales to procure software specifically for the Local Development Plan (LDP) and has chosen Limehouse Software to meet the document production and consultation requirements of its LDP.

Cardiff requires a solution that will enable them to produce high quality documents, will achieve a number of E-Government requirements, can be output to the web and will enable the Council to deliver upon its commitment for a consistent and sustainable approach to engagement with the whole community, including the hard to reach.

Cardiff anticipates having to produce and consult on up to 8 different documents over the next 3 years.  The increasing focus of the LDP for ongoing consultation means the Council requires a solution that will save substantial time in analysing consultations, summarising data and producing reports.

“By purchasing Limehouse Software solutions we expect to significantly reduce the time and money spent on publishing and consulting on documents. It will also free up our staff to focus on a broader range of planning policy work and enable us to offer a better service.”  Sean Hannaby, Chief Strategic Planning and Environment Officer, Cardiff Council.
