Carlisle City find effective tool for managing LDF process in Limehouse Software
Carlisle City Council has selected Limehouse Software to produce their Local Development Framework in 2009 and beyond.
Having just completed their Unitary Development Plan, Carlisle City were beginning to think ahead to their Local Development Framework in 2009. For the UDP they had been using MS Word to create the document, with the services of an in-house designer to publish it. For the LDF they needed a more effective and streamlined process to help them collaborate, create and also to consult on the framework.
Anticipating a period of more development in the City, and therefore more stakeholder comments and responses to planning consultations, Carlisle needed a robust system which could effectively manage comments and could speed up the reporting process.
As the market-leading LDF solution, Limehouse Software offered all the functionality Carlisle City required and more. Some of they key benefits Carlisle could see in our solutions were:
- the solution is an effective management tool for the complete LDF process
- ease of use would speed up the process meaning Carlisle could be sure to meet compulsory deadlines
- all online and offline responses can be gathered and stored in one unified database
- the solution allows categorisation of statutory consultees and enhanced Agent interaction
Being one of the last remaining councils to complete their UDP and move onto their LDF, Carlisle City were also encouraged by Limehouse’s reputation in the planning field, having already provided LDF solutions to over 200 local authority planning departments in the UK.
Ed Hopper, Sales Director said: “ Limehouse Software’s solutions continue to be the best fit on the market for the LDF process and we are delighted that we have been able to offer Carlisle City Council the functionality they require and are excited to be working with them as they commence the LDF process this year.”
