Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council Meet Document Creation and eConsultation Objectives
Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council have now joined the hundreds of other local authorities that are using Limehouse Software to better manage their internal document creation and approval process associated with key submissions, including the Local Development Framework (LDF).
The council purchased Limehouse Software’s ucreate product and has already realised both time and cost savings associated with the creation of their LDF document which outlines the spatial planning strategy of the local area.
Peter Jermany, Planning Policy Manager at Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council: “The ucreate module has enabled us to work much smarter as a team and to also rely less on external help from designers. This has saved us time and money which, for a small planning team such as ourselves, has made a big difference.”
Limehouse Software is also delighted to announce that following a thorough review of eConsultation software, the council has chosen to adopt the company’s uengage product, which will allow Peter and his team to manage the entire stakeholder consultation process from one portal site.
Peter Jermany continues: “Our borough is sparsely populated compared to others, and it is essential that we make the consultation process as convenient as possible to residents in our borough. Making our consultations available online has really streamlined processes, and allowed a greater level of participation from geographically distant parties. We feel that the uengage product is the perfect solution for us to keep hitting our eConsultation targets, which were being hampered by our previous system that required too much management in data collation and analysis.”
Limehouse Software recently launched the Version 3.0 of its unique document collaboration, creation, publishing and consultation software suite designed for the public sector. Version 3.0 upgrades the existing functionality of Limehouse’s original Collaborate, Publish and Consultation package by making it fully browser based and providing the software as a hosted service. This allows more flexible working practices and eliminates the traditional need for internal server bandwidth and IT support. The system features two fully-integrated products: ucreate and uengage.
The ucreate module features powerful content creation and publishing capabilities enabling organisations to create complex branded professional documents and content-rich microsites at the touch of a button. The uengage module manages the entire consultation lifecycle enabling organisations to consult all relevant stakeholders, citizens, employees, shareholders or partners through the widest variety of response mechanisms, and analyse and manage the results through complete back-office functionality.
