Limehouse Software and Horsham District Council speak at PSF’s e-Planning for the Future event

23rd January 2008 saw Public Sector Forums host its “e-Planning for the Future” event which took place at Edgbaston Cricket Grounds, with over 90 delegates from development control, GIS, planning and policy turning up on the day.

Limehouse Software was proud to be main sponsors of such an informative, thought-provoking day and was pleased to speak alongside Horsham District Council on how to address publishing & e-Consultation challenges.

The event illustrated how local authorities are benefiting from the opportunities that e-initiatives present - yet at the same time demonstrated how to overcome some of the challenges associated with adopting e-processes. Burnley Borough Council’s presentation illustrated how innovative approaches can help engage with ‘hard to reach’ groups while other sessions highlighted how e-Consultation is increasingly top of the planning agenda and now a proven way to improve planning processes. Horsham DC described how their move to Limehouse Software’s web-based document publishing and consultation solutions helped them meet t-Gov initiatives, improve citizen engagement and maximise their Housing & Planning Delivery Grant.

Feedback from delegates on the day was extremely positive and Limehouse Software looks forward to working with Public Sector Forums on other collaboration, publishing and consultation focused events moving forward.
