Limehouse Software Powers Shared Services at Daventry Council
Daventry Council is the latest addition to the ever-growing portfolio of government authorities and councils to deploy solutions from Limehouse Software to streamline the document planning, creation and consultation process.
Limehouse Software’s uengage and ucreate will be implemented into Northamptonshire’s Joint Planning Unit, a collaborative project that sees Daventry Council, Northampton Borough Council and South Northamptonshire Council unifying their consultation procedures to optimise efficiency during large-scale planning activity.
The Joint Planning Unit is a partnership project between Daventry Council, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire Council. It was formed to achieve a greater level of collaboration in planning services throughout the region. In this application, the integration of the full Limehouse Software suite enables all parties involved in the development of the area to be able to participate more easily, at all levels - from government departments to the residents themselves.
uengage enables Local Development Framework (LDF) consultations to be made available to the public via an online portal, where it automatically stores all data and allows one-touch reporting for immediate feedback. ucreate facilitates instant publishing to multiple formats, whilst maintaining the integrity of the brand of each of the three councils. As a result complex documents can be made available to all stakeholders in print, or online with minimal effort. The system integrates with uengage to allow real-time feedback reporting on specific issues within documents that have been produced through ucreate.
Richard Wood, Planning Policy & Housing Strategy Manager at Daventry council, said: “The rapid pace of development in the Northampton area combined with Central Government targets to improve efficiencies mean that it has become more important than ever for authorities to communicate and work together. As a result we needed to find the most efficient way to achieve this,” He continues: “Limehouse Software offers the best and most complete solution that can be applied to our existing structure. We expect our efficiency to increase as we can now automate and simplify many parts of the LDF process, creating real cost savings.”
