Upgrade for Rushmoor Borough

Rushmoor enjoys enhanced functionality of v3

Rushmoor Borough Council has successfully been using Limehouse Software since 2005 to collaborate, create and consult on their Local Development Framework.
However, having never upgraded from their original version 2, they were missing out on some of the new features of the system and weren’t making full use of it.
Two new planning policy managers were appointed and they were keen to see how an upgrade to v3 might help them to improve their LDF process even further.

Limehouse Software demonstrated v3 to the planning department, along with representatives from their IT department. All were impressed with the functionality of the newer version and could see the potential for expanding usage of the system to other areas of the Council.

With an impending deadline for an upcoming consultation, Rushmoor decided to push ahead with the upgrade and Limehouse Software had them up and running within 2 weeks. The upgrade, migration of data from v2 to v3, importing of surveys and documents, and the rebranding of the consultation portal, were all completed in time for Rushmoor Borough Council to go live with their latest consultation on schedule. After just one week of the consultation 120 comments had already been received.

Rushmoor Borough Council were also keen to support the system themselves, seeing this as an added benefit should they expand usage across the organisation at a later date. Training of support staff will begin in February and will mean that Rushmoor Borough Council IT department will be able to deal with any support issues themselves with back up from Limehouse Software where needed.

Ed Hopper, Sales Director said “We are delighted Rushmoor Borough Council decided to upgrade. Version 3 will offer some significant benefits to users of the software. Feedback from the first consultation on the Farnborough Airport Area Action Plan has been very promising, with unprecedented levels of online responses. We look forward to building on this and being able to offer Rushmoor extended usage for all corporate consultation at a later date.”
