Adobe® InDesign® integration
Adobe InDesign is now available in the latest version of ucreate – Limehouse Software’s unique web-based, document-centric collaboration and publishing solution – to help organisations streamline design processes and develop high-end, tailored designs within significantly shorter timeframes.
This will allow organisations to seamlessly integrate ucreate published documents with Adobe InDesign to further enhance content presentation and document design where more design control is required. This means your Authors create their content in ucreate and have it imported into InDesign, leaving your Designers to focus on what’s most important to them – designing!
How the integration works:
- Use ucreate to firstly manage workflow, content and simultaneous authoring to assemble your document.
- Then publish to print-ready PDF, XML and AAA-rated HTML formats in seconds.
- When complete the document can be transferred directly into InDesign, including all of the text and images, leaving your designer to further enhance and customise.
- The integrity of text, numbering and structure (character styles like bold/italic, paragraph formatting like headings and list, box settings such as policies) are retained during transfer.
- By adjusting the InDesign character/paragraph/object styles, designers can update styling across the whole document instantly
- Documents can then be further designed and customised for a more bespoke end-result.
- Collaboratively create long, complex documents laid out with style sheets and tables, then publish to PDF, HTML and InDesign.
- By significantly reducing the associated labour-intensive artworking and reproofing, designers can spend more time producing highly stylised documents.
- Your design department can be more responsive and deliver within shorter timeframes.
